About Me
My journey began with service in Operation Iraqi Freedom, an experience that shaped my understanding of resilience, connection, and the complexities of reintegration. Navigating my own transition from military life to civilian life, I discovered the profound importance of support, reflection, and community. This path led me through diverse experiences—from the fast-paced world of bike messengering to the contemplative environment of seminary, and ultimately to a doctoral program dedicated to understanding and healing the human spirit.
As the founder of Threshold Psychological Services and an international consultant, I am passionate about walking alongside individuals as they face trauma, grief, and moral injury. I believe that healing flourishes in partnership, creativity, and the embrace of nature. My approach blends evidence-based therapies with the restorative power of the natural world, creating a compassionate space for growth, exploration, and self-discovery.
Whether you are seeking therapy, consultation, or supervision, my commitment is to honor your unique story and strengths. Together, we will navigate challenges, build emotional resilience, and foster deeper connections—with yourself and others. Healing is a journey, and you don’t have to walk it alone. Let’s explore your inner landscape and unlock new possibilities for meaning, connection, and joy.
I live and work in Portland, Oregon. I am a licensed psychologist in Oregon, California and Idaho, and I am available to travel for speaking engagements throughout the United States and abroad.
